Soaked Sour Quail Eggs

It’s a mouthwatering recipe of pickled quail eggs for all members of family.


  • 24 quail eggs
  • 2 fresh shallots
  • 1/2 cup of white wine vinegar
  • 1/3 cup of dry white wine
  • 1/4 tsp of seeds (celery)
  • 1/4 tsp of fresh aniseed
  • 8 dried cloves
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp of fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp of peppercorns
  • 1/2 tsp of seeds (coriander)
  • 1/2 tsp of paprika
  • 1/2 tsp of sea salt


  • Boil the peeled quail eggs and slice the peeled shallots.
  • Cook all the ingredients, leaving aside the eggs, in a pan on medium-high heat.Bring to a boil. Simmer for 3 minutes and cool at room temperature.
  • Pour over the vinegar mix after placing the eggs in a treated jar. Marinate for a day in a cool place before serving.
